Jan 22 Blog Post edited

In this Blog Post specifically I will only specifiy which parts of the readings related to the sites. Here are some site connections with picitures listed below of this blog. The terracs are leaning towards terroisim and less towards traditional agricultral practices. We saw our site visit in

the lemon orchard. In the villa sites in pompeian territory. The most recent years of feild of survey are not aviabile for territory of pompeii. The volcanic ash is way thicker than soil as the more further away the volcanic ash gets from volcano it increases the sites. The local economy was shifting towards tourism. The volcanic ash actually provides more rich nutireitns to the soil there was this plant at the site musem in pompeii I forgot what it was called and I also forgot to take a picture of it. This plant was large and green it looked so healthy it was beuatiful. Our tour lady said that it grows and stays healthy all year long. I never seen a plant besides evergreens that could live this long. it as truly unique. Another tour site that I saw that we did on the 22 was the lemons orchards. It was a dangerous hike but so worth it. This shepard he takes care of his own animals but also produces his own tomatoes. The tomatoes that he grows are unique they have little horns in them. he said that you don’t find them anywhere among the amalfi coast but in the country side. We got to try the food he made for us it was soo good the wine was way better than any other wine I have ever had. We saw saw some lemons covered along the way. The seal protects the lemons from the rain and wind so the lemons can grow all year. It is actually hard and alot of work to preserve these lemons along with the climate changes happening gobally. most families that live in these urban sides use old style farming. No machnies are used to preserve these lemons all done by hand. Here are some pictures, enjoy! :)
